Scouting has been alive and kicking in
Huntington for 50 years and remains one of the
best out-of-school activities for boys
and girls.
The 40th has 3 sections :
Beavers, boys and girls
aged 6 8 years old
Cubs, boys and girls aged 8 10 years old
Scouts, boys and girls aged 10 14 years old.
Each section has a wide range of
activities to offer which are fun to do. They learn about team building,
leadership, sharing, about the environment, about the community, about the
countryside, its educational and they earn badges for their efforts.
There are trips out, visits and camps which take place throughout the
year.
The Beavers meet on a Wednesday 5.30pm
to 6.30pm
The Cubs are also on a Wednesday 6.45pm to 8.15pm
The Scouts meet on a Tuesday 7pm to 9pm
