Huntington Parish Council are always keen to engage with residents to find out their thoughts on how we can improve our community in the future. However, we also find that there are a lot of misconceptions around what a Parish Council can and can’t do. We are also often confused with Cheshire West and Chester Council (CW&C) who, as our local authority, makes decisions that affect us (such as street lighting, bin collections, highways issues, parking enforcement). It is true that we often pass information on from CW&C and we liaise with them on a huge range of issues but decisions made by them often have no influence from us.
