Parish Council
Working with the Community
Saighton Camp is a 120 acre
redundant, former Ministry Of Defence military training facility.
Detailed planning permission has been granted for the development of 101
new homes on a small area of the site closest to the A55. The future
use of the balance of the site is under review.
Following a public meeting hosted by
Huntingdon Parish Council in March 2006 it was agreed that a Liaison Group
would be established comprising representatives of organisations within
the local community as well as individual residents.
The purpose of the Liaison Group is to open an ongoing dialogue between
Commercial Estates Group (CEG) and the local community and ensure a level
of mutual understanding and trust can be established. It also
provides an opportunity for issues to be raised and discussed and these in
turn to feed into the masterplanning process.
The Liaison Group is chaired by
Councillor Mark Williams and minutes of past meetings can be viewed here.
Next meeting will take place
Wednesday 10th September 2008 at 7pm, Huntington C.P.School.
