Saighton Camp
The proposed link road from the A55 to the Saighton Camp
Development has been rejected by the Highways Agency. Developers CEG
have now submitted
a planning application for the development of
approximately half of the Saighton Camp site, consisting of 375 new homes,
5000 sq. metres of employment space and 500 sq. metres of retail use.
CEG have proposed that minor improvements to the local road
network and the conversion of the Boughton Heath (Sainsburys) roundabout
to a road junction controlled by traffic lights will be sufficient to cater for the
increased traffic.
