Huntington Village Hall

Huntington Village Hall is situated on Butterbache Road (between houses 96-98).  The Hall was built in the 1940’s, just after World War 2 as a meeting place for the returning troops.   Now, seventy years later, the hall is a well-used community building by young and old alike.

The hall is run by a committee of volunteers, who are responsible for maintaining the hall – this includes organising fund raising activities to raise funds towards the upkeep of the hall.  Five years ago we had the very tired old toilets completely refurbished, complete with facilities for disabled users; this was thanks to a grant from WREN.  We also had a new floor to the hall and stage.  Our next big project is to refurbish the kitchen area. The committee meets every 4th Monday each month and we would really appreciate new members joining us.  The meetings are generally light hearted and good fun, so if you can spare a bit of time, please come along, you would be made very welcome.  For more details on this please contact Lynda Hill on 01244 343072

The hall is used by many community groups – Huntington Under 5’s Pre-school , Brownies, Guides, WI and Senior Citizens club.  There are also children’s dance classes, jujitsu, yoga and exercise classes.

The hall is also available to hire for parties and events.  For more details please contact our bookings secretary Susan Wedderburn on 01244 403784 (after 3pm)
